The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) has a new opportunity for a full-time Content Editor. The Content Editor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and effectiveness of our content across various channels. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to collaborate with content creators to produce compelling and engaging content that aligns with our brand voice and objectives.

Essential functions of the position include:

  • Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and style, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, and other team members to develop high-quality content for various platforms, including blogs, websites, social media, email campaigns, and print materials.
  • Conduct thorough fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of information.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers to enhance content quality and effectiveness.
  • Assist in developing and implementing content strategies that drive engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve content quality and performance.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Support the Senior Director of Content Marketing in various content-related initiatives and projects.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Content Editor, Copy Editor, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of AP Style.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and possess an acceptable MVR.
