Project Manager

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) has a new opportunity for a Project Manager in our Member Experience department. This position will manage the planning, execution, and analysis of member-focused data and benchmarking projects for the association within the Membership and Sponsorship areas at the direction of Member Experience senior staff.

 

Essential functions of the position include:

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of benchmarking projects—from needs assessment and development to implementation and final reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and member committees to ensure benchmarking projects align with strategic goals and member needs.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, gaps, and best practices within the membership base and develop insightful reports, dashboards, presentations, and data visualizations tailored to various audiences (e.g., board, members, staff).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries related to data projects and benchmarking tools, communicate the value and outcomes of benchmarking initiatives to members and encourage participation and provide training, guidance, and support to members to help them interpret and apply benchmarking results effectively.
  • Maintain data quality, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable data protection policies.
  • Establish and document methodologies, definitions, and standards to ensure consistency across all benchmarking efforts.
  • Partner with marketing, the data team, membership, and other teams to promote projects, integrate data across platforms, and support organizational reporting needs.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging practices in performance measurement and data benchmarking.


 Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, benchmarking, or performance measurement, ideally within a membership organization, association, or nonprofit.
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business analytics, economics or related field
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills with proficiency in Excel, survey platforms (e.g., Microsoft Forms, SurveyMonkey), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Collaborative, member-focused approach with a commitment to data integrity and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large data projects, including survey development and analysis.
  • Familiarity with association management systems (AMS) or customer relationship management (CRM) platforms and experience working with member engagement or performance scorecard metrics strongly preferred.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background and MVR check.
